If you are not lucky enough to have Yoav as your dad, you would be very lucky to have him as your advisor. The wisdom and effectiveness of his approach is so profound, it even overcame a daughter's natural instinct to ignore her parents' advice. This is Remarkable! I texted Yoav, asking about possible days/times that he might have to help in the next week or so. He called back within a few minutes and walked me through a bunch of things over the course of the next approximately 45 minutes. He wound up saying that he would need to set things up on our computers in person so that he would be able to work remotely with them. What a computer wizard - I completely agree with you about his depth of knowledge. Also, he is able to communicate very clearly about everything.

I think that is you and me. You can't go too slow for me to learn this stuff.

I have gone to the Apple store many times for help, but I still had a list of unanswered questions.
It is hard to get answers I can understand and apply from young people, and in the store.
I completely understood Yoav, and even better, he understood me and what I needed to know to do what I wanted on my iPhone and iPad.
He spent the entire afternoon here, which I really appreciated, and didn't leave until I had checked off all the items on my list.

Hello, members and friends of Penn's Village,
I am excited to share with you a new service available to Villager and Neighbor members of Penn's Village.
A friendly Penn's Village volunteer is ready to bridge the generational technology gap by coaching our members with their Apple systems. Perhaps you have several digital devices (smartphone, tablet, computer, WiFi router, etc.) and are unaware that they can be used more efficiently together and separately. Our volunteer will shadow you as you use your Apple devices on daily tasks and explore with you how they can be used more efficiently to meet your needs. He trains, coaches, configures, and designs a personal system that will release the full potential of what you already own. He helps reduce the fear of changing any default settings your devices came with that may not fit your current needs.

"There are many 'Professional Organizers' with a game plan and a process to apply to all situations. Having an 'instinct' for how people work and how to help them sort out their technology into a personalized system for that person is a rare gift. I had an accumulation of hardware (Desktop, Laptop, Palm Handheld and Droid Phone) and software (Outlook, Palm and Google contact systems) that I acquired along the way without much synchronization between them. Yoav asked a few questions and instinctively knew how to turn all that into a system that works for me. He also has a talent for diving into and making sense of 'those piles' that are so easy to ignore and let accumulate into dysfunction."
